Sunday throw down
Gettin’ after it preaching from Romans 5 today to two congregations. Only one God – only one Savior. The wrath of God is coming quickly. Josh busted a move with 1 John 2 yesterday evening, and told them that they were sinners and will die, if the love of the Father did not abide in them. I followed it up with telling them of the wrath to come, that there is a God in heaven and He will heap judgement on everyone not in Christ Jesus. That the Great Sin-Bearer did a work that was sufficient to save.
American Christianity exported to Indonesia is not at all Biblical Christianity. Folks look up to us - like we’re rock stars because we come from America. We had to tell them that most of America is lost and going to hell. We had to straighten out some preconceived notions about true, authentic, biblical Christianity – to follow hard after Jesus, pressing in to the cross!
Pray that we will have opportunities to preach to folks in the malls – and in the marketplaces. God, help us be bold as lions and harmless as doves.
