I also agree that it is very hard to argue the choosing part when it clearly states that they were designated -which I take to imply almost created for that purpose. I may not be a theologian but this I know.. I serve a Sovereign God, who bought me, a wretch, through his wrath his only Son suffered in order to free me! All the other stuff is extra. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I would NEVER choose him. But I am so grateful and humbled that he did CHOOSE ME! You said..”Wow….let God be God, and let man shut his mouth!”
